Dr
Mamie Hui is Associate Professor
of the Department of Microbiology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She received her Medical degree
from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1994 and joined the Department since 1998. In the position as Associate
Professor, her duties are three-fold: teaching, research and clinical services. The Department supports
the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Nursing, and the School of Pharmacy undergraduate teaching programme in the field of
Medical Microbiology. Dr. Hui had been voted as the Best teacher from 2000 to 2004, and thus received the
Master Teacher Award of the Faculty of Medicine in 2004. In research, her main interest is in the field of Medical Myology,
especially the molecular pathogenic mechanism of Candida adhesion, and Antifungal resistance. The department’s
clinical laboratory is based in the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin, Hong Kong. |
