Deepak Narayan Amarapurkar is a consulting Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist in Bombay Hospital & Jagjivanram Western Railway Hospital since 1994. Delivered 5 prestigious orations.  He is actively involved in various research projects; areas of interest have included Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, NAFLD and HCC. He serves on the editorial boards of Journal of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. He has served as Treasure, Secretary & vice President of Indian National Association of Study of Live. He has presented 150 papers and is the author or co-author of more than 300 publications. Contributed more than 15 chapters in various text books. He is a member of consensus panel on Management of Hepatitis C, Hepatitis B, NAFLD and HCC for Asian Pacific Region.
