Dr. Chun-Jen Liu received his M.D. from the National Taiwan University in 1992 and his training in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology from the same University Hospital between 1992 and 1997. Later on, he received his Ph.D. from the Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine at National Taiwan University College of Medicine in 2003. He now serves as associate professor in Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine at National Taiwan University College of Medicine and is staff of Department of Internal Medicine and Hepatitis Research Center at National Taiwan University Hospital.He is interested in the pathogenesis and treatment of chronic hepatitis B and C. His studies focus on the role of viral factors in the pathogenesis and treatment outcomes of chronic hepatitis B and C. He has published over 100 articles, including famous Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He is the principal investigator of several multicenter clinical trials on chronic viral hepatitis B and C. He serves as reviewer of many international journals. He ever received outstanding research awards from Liver Disease Prevention and Treatment Research Foundation, Prof JL Sung’s Research Foundation, and Graduate Student Research Award, National Taiwan University College of Medicine.
