ABOUT DICID
Introduction
Ditan
International Conference on Infectious Diseases is an annual conference organized by Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA)
with the co-organizer European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) and
Global Chinese Association of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (GCACMID). Capital Medical University
affiliated Beijing Ditan Hospital is the host for the local organization.
Globalization has increased the spread of infectious diseases, modern modes of
transportation allow more people and products to travel around the world at a faster pace; they also open the airways to the
transcontinental movement of infectious disease vectors. We also know that it is important to target and reduce the spread
of infectious diseases in developing countries.
As
the largest developing country, China is playing an important role in the control of the infectious diseases. Being the major
hospital of infectious diseases in China, Beijing Ditan Hospital has taken the responsibility to link up the Chinese medical
community with the international and organized this annual conference for timely communication.
Renowned experts are invited to the conference to share their experience and research
findings. At the same time, participants can obtain the updated information from China and the rest of the World.

Mission &
Objective
The mission of DICID is to serve as a platform for timely communication between Chinese and international
professionals in order to control the spread of infectious diseases effectively. There are three objectives:
- To provide the fundamental knowledge and essential updates of infectious
diseases to the health care professionals with a dynamic program covered scientific research, clinical practice and administration
strategy.
- To allow international colleagues having a clearer picture of China.
- To enhance the
development of young investigators.
